Securing your data on Alteryx v2.0

I came up with an idea while replying to @Deeksha. An interesting option to secure the data would be to encrypt the data sets and "license" it to

  • specific users
  • specific time spans or
  • people with certain credentials

just like we do by encrypting the workflow...

Think about this;

 

if you can select certain columns of data to encrypt 

also filter rows of data to encrypt

and package this data....

 

It would be an awesome option don't you think?

Agree. A big ask that we always get (especially from the healthcare side in terms of meeting HIPAA requirements), is how we plan on encrypting data at rest. And up to this point are only reply is to either wrap some external encryption method within Alteryx or move the data from A to B without ever placing intermediary files on the Alteryx Server.
