Where and how does the Explorer Box save cookies?

I am able to use the Explorer box to sign in to the Alteryx Community, and this login session is retained across multiple windows, which means that cookies have to be saved somewhere.

I've looked at the Help documentation and Tool Mastery articles, and none of them really reference any technical details behind the Explorer box.

I'm hoping to be able to get access to these cookies within Alteryx for a cool project.

Thanks!

Hi @Claje,

The Explorer Box tool uses an embedded Internet Explorer window, so the cookies can be found in the same location as those created by IE. Mine, for instance, are located here:

C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies

Hope that helps!

Thank you.

That should help a lot! I'll see if I can leverage these for what I'm looking into.

Thanks!
