We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again. The Documentation Tool Category is underrated. Good comments and shareability are always a plus and to help spread the good word, we’re excited to unearth the last gem of the bunch - the Explorer Box Tool. How good could it really be? Well, if the Designer was the 1975 Notre Dame football team, the Explorer Box would be a shoo-in for Rudy. Be it web pages, files, or file explorer windows, the Explorer Box will let you embed and interact with all the above right in your workflows:

Explorer Box: Underutilized, but effective. It takes the whole team to win.

  • Embed a webpage

  • Include a file browser – use it to open your files!

  • Feature workflow instructions, referential material, or just a downright good read by using its file path

All the examples above in the Designer together:

To attach files you want to include in Explorer Boxes to your workflow, try adding them as an asset to the Explorer Box Tool and exporting before sharing.

Note: Much like how you can CTRL+Scroll to zoom in the Designer, you can select an Explorer Box and zoom the contents for better viewability.

By now, you should have expert-level proficiency with the Explorer Box Tool! If you can think of a use case we left out, feel free to use the comments section below!
