Environment Details

The following error occurs in the Output Data tool writing to a Teradata table:
 

There were errors with LOADING please check your ERROR TABLES

Cause

Diagnosis

Data type related issue within the Alteryx tools or compatibility with Teradata ODBC drivers using the Bulk loader feature.


Cause A

Unicode characters (such as "TÉLÉBEC") exists in the data set.


Cause B

Using the Bulk Loader option and using the "FixedDecimal" data type in the data set.

Resolution

Solution A

Use the Select tool to change the data types of all the columns that contain wide character data to V_WString before using the Output Data tool. Click here for more details on the Select tool.


Solution B

Ensure the latest Teradata ODBC drivers are installed as well as the latest Alteryx Designer version.

Note 

This solution is recommended for Alteryx 2020.1 which was last tested to successfully write FixedDecimal data via the Teradata Bulk Loader.
