Incorrect number of unique Identifeirs fuzzy match

Hi All,

I'm using the fuzzy match tool and I'm trying to get all records including unmatched records:

Number of unique fields pre-match = 1635

Post match                                      = 1572

Output Unmatched records checked

The ID is a Vstring (highlighted as red not sure why)  I'm not sure what's the problem here why am I not getting the same number of unique fields?

It's hard to tell without knowing exactly what position you are in the fuzzy match process.

But; the whole purpose of fuzzy matching is to create less unique values!

Please share some images of your workflow so we can debug.

Aa for your ID field highlighted in red? If you are on about in the results window this means that your cell either contains leading or training white space, or is truncated. You can identify which by hovering over the cell.

Hi Ben thanks for the reply managed to solve it. Used a Join then a Union to bring back the unmatched records.
