Data transformation- transpose fields

I have a table which is similar to this.

State	Item	Type of sale	Units Sold
CA	Books	Retail	50
CA	Books	Wholesale	500
MI	Books	Retail	20
MI	Books	Wholesale	250
CT	Books	Retail	100
MA	Books	Retail	100

I would like to transform my data to this:

Item	Type of Sale	CA	MI	CT	MA
Books	Retail	50	20	0	0
Books	Wholesale	500	250	100	100

Can someone help me to do this?

@hash9 This is a pretty simple setup with a cross-tab tool

If you want your table to include zeroes where there is no data then include a data cleanse tool after the cross tab.
