Connect to MS Access Web Application (.accdw)

Hi all, I am trying to connect to a MS Access DB that is stored on our company SharePoint. When I open and save the DB in MS Access 2016, it saves as a Microsoft Access Web Application (.accdw). I can do a Save As to a Microsoft Access Database (.accdb) but can't seem to get either to work as a data source in Alteryx. I have tried a simple input tool as well as the download tool (although I am new to that one and may be using it wrong). Any ideas for how to get the tables & data into Alteryx? Thanks!

Hi @phoebe_kelley

The below steps should resolve this for you to connect to the saved .accdb (providing you have permissions to download and install drivers):

As per the community knowledge base article, this is how you would enable accdb access:

https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Alteryx-Knowledge-Base/Microsoft-Access-accdb-Input/ta-p/34051

Driver is located here:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255

Hope this helps!

Thanks.

thanks, I downloaded the driver, restarted Alteryx and am still only seeing Microsoft Access 00-2003 as an option for the Input Data Tool. Does running a 64-bit machine cause issues? Office 2016? Any other ideas? I'm using Alteryx version 2018.4.5.

Running a 64bit version shouldn't cause issues. The following article should help you troubleshoot:

Thanks!
