Teradata Bulk Connections tool not writing to Teradata Parallel Transport (TPT) logs

Teradata Bulk Connection utilizes Teradata Parallel Transporter (TPT) Base. Outside of Designer, when a script is run that uses TPT, then communication to the Teradata database is logged to the TPT logging directory. Designer doesn't write to these audit logs.

Environment Details

  • Alteryx Designer, Server
    • any version
  • Teradata Transport Utilities
  • Teradata Bulk Connection

Currently, this is not supported.

The tables created by the Teradata Bulk Loader are “tablename_lg”, “tablename_e1” and “tablename_e2”. Should errors occur during the writing of records these tables will have the information about these failures.

If you would like Designer to write TPT logs, please submit your request to the Alteryx Ideas page
