A scheduled workflow has been stuck in status "Initializing" for some time. How can this be cleared from the Queue?

 

  • Alteryx Designer + Desktop Automation license for scheduling
    • Version 2021.1

Resolution


1. From the 'Queue' tab, select the workflow and click the delete icon on the toolbar
2. If the delete doesn't work from the Queue tab, go to the Workflows tab
3. Select the workflow and click the delete icon on the toolbar

Restarting the Alteryx Service on the controller will clear the queue of workflows stuck in the initializing state but it may also introduce some undesirable behavior for workflows that are currently running ok (they may restart from their beginning)
