Exclamation mark (!) being added to reporting objects when rendered by Email Tool

Emails sent from Designer using the Email Tool contain exclamations points ! at random places in the email body.

Cause

Some SMTP servers have a line limit set on the underlying HTML of the email. If this limit is reached, the HTML lines will break and a ! character is inserted just before the line break. This line limit is not set on all SMTP servers, for example emails sent via the Gmail SMTP server do not have this limit.

This is expected in accordance with RFC 2821 Simple Mail Transfer Protocol specification.
