Error: “There seems to be an issue with the Assisted Modeling tool. You will need to close and relaunch.”

 

Environment Details

 

Clicking on the "Start Assisted Modeling" button in the "Assisted Modeling" tool displays a blank screen with the following error:

  
There seems to be an issue with the Assisted Modeling tool. You will need to close and relaunch.

  • Alteryx Intelligence Suite

Cause

 

The Assisted Modeling tool cannot load if there are Python packages that the tool uses in user site-packages.



Resolution

 

If you have Python packages in c:\users\<user>\appdata\roaming\python\pythonXX\site-packages, please rename the "site-packages" folder to "site-packages_old" for example before you run Assisted Modeling tool.
