Receive error “Get Table List Error: Win32 Exception” when connecting to Databricks.

• Simba Spark Driver
  • Versions: 2.06.22.1037, 2.6.24.1041
  • 'Get Tables With Query' option checked in the driver configuration 

Cause

 

ODBC driver compatibility issue..

Resolution

Use supported Simba Apache Spark Driver 2.06.23.

Diagnosis

This error can present in other ways, such as a "You have found a bug. The pipe has ended." error or a "Win32 Exception" window on the SQL Editor tab:

Workaround

Uncheck ‘Get Tables With Query’ option in the ODBC configuration.
