Environment Details

R tool is not able to read in Chinese characters in the field names. The field name after the R tool becomes "X.."

Cause

DE34435/TDALI-4173  has been logged to address this issue.

 



 

Resolution

As a workaround, import the first row of the data in Excel as data by doing the following:

Data with Chinese characters are read in correctly. The first row may be skipped for data manipulation in the R tool. When writing out from the R tool to an Excel, please select the "Skip Field Names" option in the Output Data tool:

In this way, the first row containing the column names will still be correct.
