Environment Details


Issue

When the background color of the Report Text Tool is set to [None], when being rendered to Excel the color returning as black
 

Environment

  • Designer version 2021.2


Cause


The behavior you are encountering is currently a known product defect DE33649 and has been added to our engineering team's backlog

Resolution


Workarounds

  • Set background color on Report Text Tools not using [None]
  • Downgrade to Designer 2021.1

My company is working on upgrading to 2021.2 and I experienced this issue. I was able to use the workaround above for the Report Text Tools. I configured my Render Tool to "Insert Whitespace Between Records" and the whitespace line is showing up as black as well. Any ideas about a workaround for these black cells?
