Workflow Dependencies - move to a better location

large.png

At present - to identify the dependencies of your workflow - you have to go to to "Advanced Settings" to find this critical capability.

(see @MattB 's great post here: https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Alteryx-Knowledge-Base/Workflow-Dependencies/ta-p/49696 )

Could we instead move this to the workflow properties on the left hand side - this would be a more logical place to keep this info.

As I mentioned in my idea for a Gallery Management menu entryAs the list of connection, dependency, and gallery management entries continues to grow, it may also make sense to remove it from "Advanced Options" and create a more descriptive "Data" or "Connections" menu or sub-menu.  I think it would be helpful to see aliases, in-db connections, dependencies, assets, and gallery management all grouped together within the interface.

Thank you for the feedback. I'd like to look at the overall menu structure to make it easier to use. Part of that will be making sure everything in the menus belongs in the menus. I'll keep this feedback in mind as something that might be better someplace other than the application menu.

this was changed to accepted but now we are heading to mid year 2019 with no update from Alteryx.

@RachelW will this still be changed.

There too many clicks to get to this feature that I use so often.
