Support "Chaos Reins Within" Macros

The stuff he has over there is great and makes alteryx much more powerful.  Two tools in particular that I am using from there are Conditional Runners and the Parallel Block Until Done.  These are tools that for us are vital and it would be nice if Alteryx would pick them up and maintain them for stability.

I think all power users wind up discovering the CREW macros and the become serious productivity enhancers. Thinking about your suggestion however, I'm reminded of one I posted not long ago in which I was suggesting embedding the gallery experience within Designer and making the experience of install/uninstalling macros much cleaner. http://community.alteryx.com/t5/Alteryx-Product-Ideas/Add-Macros-and-Gallery-within-Designer/idi-p/6... I know the CREW macros are a bit of a special case given their history and development by an employee, but in general, I think Alteryx should encourage users to post macros to the public gallery. This will have the benefit of letting Alteryx see which items are most popular so they can decide if certain features should be considered for inclusion in the base product.

I thing that is a great idea too.  I think having a better gallery of macros would be awesome for efficiency.  

 

I think the CREW macros specifically though would be good to add in to the list of Alteryx supported tools.  It just makes Alteryx so much more functional and I think that when Alteryx has major releases, these need to be compatible otherwise it is very tough to use them in a production environment.

The status of this idea has been changed to 'Inactive'. This status indicates that:

 

1. The idea has not had activity in the form of likes or comments in over a year.

2. The idea has not reached ten likes.

3. The idea is still in the 'New Idea' status. 

 

However, this doesn't mean your idea won't be implemented! The Community can still like and comment on this idea. With enough renewed interest, this idea can be brought back into the 'New Idea' status.
