Indicate that a Saved Expression is being used

I use the same 2 saved expressions across 58 workflows (and growing).

I'd like to know that I am using the universal expressions, so that I know that it is the latest version and that I am not missing an update.

Is there somewhere on the Configuration panel that can show the name of the expression in use?

Thanks,

Karen

Hey @MackStewart ,

When using saved expressions - I think that Alteryx brings in the actual expression rather than a reference to the saved expression.   The reason I say that is that when you look at the XML when you use a saved expression, it is just a standard formula (rather than a reference to a saved expression).

So perhaps the beginning for your idea would be to refer to the expression rather than importing it as a basic formula so that it is an instance of the shared formula rather than just a copy of the formula itself?

Hi Sean

That makes perfect sense.

Thank you for taking the time to explain it. 🙂
