Hi @FláviaB  - there are quite a few ideas around changes to Date Time as part of the Alteryx platform.

Are you thinking mainly of a timezone-aware date-time type (if so - I agree fully with you)?    Python deals with this by having a specific type for date-times with a timezone, so that you can clearly see if this is 16:00 GMT or 16:00 in Madrid.

It may be worth putting some of the details of the problem that this applies to so that the product team can work through it with you.

Thank you for your feedback, @SeanAdams!

Yes, I believe this is totally related to a timezone. Since I am posting on behalf of another user that sent the idea in our Portuguese Community, I will extend the question to him who can better explain it. 😉

@fmvizcaino could you elaborate a little more about your request?

Hi,

The idea is to actually have Alteryx support months or weekdays in different languages, like excel is able to do.

To be able to insert a specific list of months or weekdays in a different language.

Example: (english / portuguese) - to insert a from / to

January = Janeiro

Sunday = Domingo

And the %b or %A automatically translate the date to a string formatted in another language.

Best,

Fernando Vizcaino

Hello @fmvizcaino ! We did indeed release international support of DateTime to the DateTime tool in Designer. In upcoming releases, we will be extending this support to the expression editor of the DateTimeParse and DateTimeFormat functions where you will be able to specify %b and %A, among different formats, and have the outputs be in your desired language. Also, we will be updating the DateTime Now tool as part of this extended support as well. Stay tuned!
