Create filter by using the results window

Filtering values is a task used quite often and one way to speed things up would be to use the results window combined with some drag and drop.

1. Select the values in the results window that you want to filter on. In this case I want to select all rows where [State] = "England" OR
[State] = "Aquitaine-Limousin-Poitou-Charentes".

Select valuesSelect values

2.  Alteryx automatically creates the filter for you to put in the workflow.

Create filterCreate filter

There should of course also be options for excluding values, setting ranges and min/max values(in case of numeric values) and so on.

Fantastic idea! The same would apply to interface tools if one wanted to create a dropdown or multi-select tool based on a specific field from a result set.

I believe this is quite similar to the post found here, but since this post adds the additional idea of creating the actual tool, I'm not marking this one as a duplicate. Just wanted to link the other thread, as that one is currently on the roadmap!

Not the exact solution of actually right clicking on the cell in the results grid, but you can do this with the new integrative browse functionality to filter by the column headers:
