Calgary input and select tool combination

Love the functionality to create filters on the Calgary database but it would be nice to be able to select the columns you wanted returned. There are times where you only want a couple columns but the input tool will return all columns creating a larger dataset then required. You can add a select right after the input but this is after the entire dataset has been loaded into memory. Combining the two would make the Calgary input tool behave more like a database then a standard "dumb" input source.

That make much more sense! This will save proccessing time in many cases, don't have a why to you input like a hundred columns if you need 2 of them only.

This and append are two pieces missing from Calgary that would really expand the use cases. love it!

I wouldn't mind this on the regular file input either. Same for CSV or EXCEL. We currently teach pulling in the data then adding a select tool. Why not just have embedded select?

YES YES YES!

And please include "output file name/path" like a regular input tool as well :)
