Hi Community,

I have a batch of 50+ PDF files that I would like to convert to Excel workbook.

keeping the same name for each file.

Is it possible using Alteryx?

so 50PDF's -->> 50 excel files

any help/support would be much appreciated.

Hi Gurpreet,

I saw this PDF input macro by Oliver Clarke that may be helpful : https://gallery.alteryx.com/#!app/PDF-Input/5b685aff0462d710907f7a3b

I should mention a caveat though- since the tool relies on an R script it will probably give you some version of the error below if you don't already have the predictive tools installed.

"Can't find plugin "AlteryxRPluginEngine.dll"

If you don't have the predictive tools installed you should be able to access them through this drop-down menu.

This macro in combination with taking the name from the pdf filepath should allow you to create the 50 excel files you need.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Hi @gurpreet-singh ,

You'll find instructions for the macro here: https://til.bi/2vHkp2S, and an example macro here: https://til.bi/2M4IVVS

I've used this macro with good success. Good luck!

Cheers,

Esther

Could you provide the full url for the macro and example? My network blocks tinyurls by default.

Thank You,
