how to keep the "newlines detected..." in output files

Hello All,

I am quite new in playing with Alteryx and I am wondering if it is possible to keep the "newline" in xls files.

I have an input like

product	color
apple	red
pear	red

I would like to have it like

product	color
apple pear	red

Let's say a concatenation using a "newline separator".

I did it, but once I run the flow, I have the message "newlines detected in data output file might not be readable by other tools" and actually xls file does not recognize the separator and retur a concatenation like

product	color
applepear	red

Any idea how to export the "newline"?

Hi @margautz

Just enable the "Wrap Text" option in the cells within your Excel generated file that it's supposed to work fine.

I am looking to do something similar, however, my output is a Tableau server, not xls. Any advice on accomplishing this? It is appearing as a tab in Tableau.
