basic math formula - Formula In-DB

fairly new to Alteryx and trying to build a simple math calculation. I am trying to calculate and average using Formula In-DB and getting incorrect results. Below is my formula:

"fieldname1" / 13

It is returning results but the math is incorrect and static; every line has the same result.

Are the output type and the "fieldname" types correct? Perhaps you need to cast the "fieldname"? What database, field types are you using?

My issue was in the summarize tool as I had the action set to 'group by' when it should have been 'sum'.
