XML parse tool error - Invalid character reference

Hi everyone,

I am using a SOAP API and downloading different fields with mixed string/numbers data from it. A few of the fields have special characters in them and I keep getting the following error:

Invalid character reference at Line: x and Column: y at row # z

Alteryx is bringing through all rows of data which don't have any of the 'invalid' characters in them but stops at the row number which does have an invalid character.

Any suggestions on what I can do to resolve this error?

What if you check ignore XML errors and continue option.
