When using Input Data, spaces in the header and data are being replaced with _x0020_

Hi, I've only noticed this to happen when using a SAS EG 6.1 generated Excel XLSX file, but what I'm noticing is that the spaces in the headers and data are being replaced with "_x0020_". Not sure why this is happening, but aside from resorting to using a CSV file, Is there a way to prevent this?

I'd avoid the issue by not using SAS altogether.

Does it help to save it as a CSV file first?

Yes, changing the output to CSV does the trick, which is what I'll be doing until I can change everything over to Alteryx.

Hi - I am having the same problem and I don't have an option to change the output to CSV. I have the data in Excel file. Has anyone gotten a work around to solve these "mystery characters" issue?
