What's the difference between "Places" and "Other Name Places" in geography selectors?

The frequency in updating is a difference. Other Name Places might have a more updated boundary when compared to the Place. Here is an existing post:  https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Data-Products-Knowledge-Base/Allocate-Places-and-Other-Name-Places/.... 

 

While Places definitions typically only change with each Census, there might be slight alignments/enhancements by TomTom to the polygons and why they are also released annually.
