Version Control - Opening Old Versions. Bug Or User Issue?!

Hi all,

 

I am trying (and failing) to open an old version of a workflow in Designer from the Company Gallery.

 

When I select the version I want the "Open" button goes from grey to blue. I can click on it, double click it, press enter, all to no avail. The old version will not open!

I can open this workflow as long as I don't go into the Version History pane in the designer. I've been able to open old versions before and I haven't changed my set up since. I now can't open any old versions for any workflows (i.e. this isn't the only one affected).

 

Is this a bug, or something "special" with my set up / me? I have 2 other Alteryx-using colleagues who are both out this week so I can't check with them!

 

For reference, I'm using Alteryx desktop version 2019.1.6.58192:

  • Client: 2019.1.58192
  • Server: 2019.1.6.58192
  • Server Binaries: 2019.1.6.58192
  • Service Layer
    • Master: 2019.1.6.58192

This is a known issue in 2019.1 and there is already a defect created - DE19799

Apologies, I should have noted this in my previous post. 

 

Per our release notes here, a fix was released for this in the latest release - 2019.2.7.

Hi @JakeS,

 

Unfortunately, I don't think this bug was fully tested as the "fixed" isn't fixed for everyone.

 

We are on 2019.2.7.63499 and our end users are still seeing the same problem even though it was "fixed"

 

Please let the developers know that this isn't fixed yet completely

Thanks for the update! I have not been able to replicate using 2019.2.7. Can you please reach out to Support so that necessary information can be collected to replicate?
