I'm Using the Regex Replace function in my formula tool to pull out the Version of the Product, I now need to revers the function and just give me the Product name.
My function is as follows:
REGEX_Replace([Item Description], "^.* (V\d+(\.\d+)?).*", "$1")
Can I just change the syntax abit and have output what I need or does a new function need to be written?
Could you give a sample of how your records look like and what kind of Products you want to extract from them?
Sure so currently I have things like
Timekeeper V8.1 SaaS
ISeries V8 enterprise
and that function pulls the V8.1 or V8 or if it is a different version like 7 or 6 then V7 or V6
But I need to just output
This should work:
REGEX_Replace([Item Description], "^(.*)\s(?:V\d+(\.\d+)?)(.*)", "$1$3")
