Wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I updated this morning to 11.7 (finally) and immediately a workflow i had failed. I looked into it and it was an older workflow that is writing data to a named range in an .xls. The error provided is:
Error opening connect string: Microsoft access database engine: external table is not in the expected format
I do not believe this is the same error as the windows update as when i uninstalled 11.7 and reinstalled 11.5, that workflow runs fine again.
Hi @Voska
Can you install these Microsoft drivers: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=3 these have helped similar errors previously.

Hello,
Sorry for the long delay. I installed the drivers but am still getting the following error:
Output Data (84) Error opening connect string: Microsoft Access Database Engine: External table is not in the expected format.\3274 = -328602519
I can confirm that prior i rolled back to 11.5 and the workflow worked. Just recently went back to 11.7 and again the workflow doesn't work. What changed between 11.5 and 11.7 that broke writing to a named range in a .xls?
Thanks,
Jordan,
Do you have and updated link to the drivers? This one is bad.

Hi Jordan,
I'm also facing the same issue while using the Dynamic inout tool in a workflow (see screen below) . The strange part is that this workflow is being used daily since last 7 months and I never faced this issue. Also, I'm using Dynamic input tool at 3 different places in this workflow for picking up the 3 different excel files (using Excel legacy connection in the dropdown), but I'm only facing the issue in this part only. The rest 2 dynamic input tool works fine.
What would you recommend.
You can see that it is able to read the records but then produces the error.
