Unable to pass data using the drop down option to the alteryx output File

Hello All,

I'm trying to create an analytic app where user can enter data using the drop down tools and it will generate output file with all the details entered by the user. I've created a sample excel file and where I entered  the header names that needs to entered by the user and connected with the input file but not sure why it's not populating data entered by the user in the output tool.

As this app will be used by many users, I want the entries to be added in the same excel(new row) without overwriting the previous entry.

You appear to have only attached the screenshots and not a sample of the data and the app itself. Can you attach these so we can help you?

Mock data is fine as long as it's representative of the real data.

Thank you for your response.

Actually there's no sample data. I'm trying to create an app where user can enter the data using the drop downs and it will output in excel format.

First change is the output option it needs to be set to append.

Since input file has no rows data stream through will also be no rows.

Thank you for your response. This solution worked for me. I have few follow up questions. Hope you'd be able to help.

- Is it possible to add a feature where once the user enter records, he/she will be able to see the output  in a dialog box before it generates an output file.

- How can I setup a condition like if the user enters all the drop down value same, it should pops up an error
