What happens if the replace multiple found items check box is unchecked in the find replace tool configuration alteryx?

Can someone illustrate with use cases. Thanks

First, the replace multiple items check box is only applicable to Find on Any Part of Field.  The difference is if the box is checked it will replace any time the find string is found and if unchecked it will only replace the first instance of the string.  I have attached a simple example.
