Transformation Issues

Howdy,

I've built a workflow that creates the output you can see in the "Current Structure" file.  What I'm trying to do is get to the "Desired Structure" I've manually created.

In the transpose example, it shows a combination of transpose and cross tab tools being chained together to get to the desired output.  I assume that been the transformation tools and possible a multi-row formula this can be done but I'm pretty new to Alteryx and I'm drawing a blank.  I'm pretty new to Alteryx, previously I would have used formulas in excel to manage this.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi,

Transpose, Summarize and Cross Tab solve the problem, see attached workflow.
Hopefully the approach is helpful.

Works perfect and I just learned a bunch.

This is why I love Alteryx and the Alteryx community, thank you!

You can accomplish you objective with a combination of the Tanspose, Summarize, and Crosstab tools.  Please see the attached workflow.

After moving further along in the analysis I realized I made a mistake in my request.  I actually need a solution that looks like this...

ClassABCD

0.22462194
0.32066158
0.4207388

0.61580113
0.71481014
0.81281016
0.9881020
1081028

Not like this...

Class00.10.20.30.40.50.60.70.80.91
A28272420201715141280
B046626673778081818181

How would I alter the chain of tools to address this change?

Thanks!

Just exchangefield for "Group data ..." and "New column headers" in Cross Tab tool
and it's done.

Thank you!  I never would have thought excel would have been detrimental but I think some of the logic I've used in the past actually makes transitioning to this more effective solution harder than it needs to be! Looks like I have lots of practice in store...
