Dear All,
Please advise on the best way to manage version control in Alteryx workflow. Even How can I document all the logics and tools used in the Alteryx Workflow if I create a new workflow?
1. Need to keep a word document or
2. Need to keep an excel file or
3. Is it necessary to keep any additional software up to date?
How are you keeping up?
If you are looking for Alteryx to do the documentation by itself, here is the right blog which will help you to do so.
However when I receive any workflow to be build, the request will be received explaining the business logic in word document and sample files.
I will create a process flow chart via Visio from start till end and share to business to get confirmation on the decision logic applied at the right place.
Then workflows are built and I preferably use documentation tools and I use color coded comment boxes to group tools together so that it can be compared with the flowcharts prepared at anytime.

Any changes made are tracked in the excel sheet so we can filter out to understand how many times the request are modified.
How can we overcome to avoid multiple modifications etc.
Merry Christmas!!!!
Many thanks
