Tool similar to 'Create Group' in Tableau??

I need to create a new field by grouping the contents of an existing field, in the same way that you would create a group in Tableau. Is there a tool that can do this in Alteryx?

I know that I could do this using a formula tool but I would have to type out a long IF statement or similar.

Hi @dave_roscoe

Have you tried the Find and Replace Tool?

I think it brings a similar effect to what you want.

If you select the "Append Field(s) to the Record" option, you create a Group Field the same way you do it in Tableau.

Yes, you must set up your vlookup table but that can be really quick if you use a Filter Tool and append the Unique Records you want to group.

It is quicker in Tableau because of the interaction you get from what you're doing.
