I am new to Alteryx and currently facing problem in creating forecast for a set of data.

Hey @nitinpatkar,

Would you be able to upload the data files that were used in this workflow as well? Or you can export your workflow and attach it (Options => Export workflow)

Thanks!

Hey @nitinpatkar,

I think I have found the issue. It looks like you chose the Annual frequency option for your target field. However, your target field is composed of daily data points.

So the periods that are showing up in the output are derived from the starting period (2012) plus an additional year for each record in your data (51,290). Thus the first period with a forecast is 53,302 (2012 + 51,290 = 53,302).

In order to create an annual forecast, you will need to aggregate your Sales field into the total Sales for each your. However, this could prove to be a little difficult, since you only have data for 4 years.

So you may have better luck aggregating your sales data into Quarters or Months and creating a quarterly or monthly forecast.

NOTE: You will also want to order these time periods from earliest to latest

Hopefully this cears up your question!
