Sort grouped vertical layout

Hi,

I have to parallel lines both creating a horizontal layout with an id field.

Now I would like to place these horizontal tools together on a vertical layout grouped by the field id.

For some reason that I do not understand, when changing the layout mode from each individual record to each group with id as the group by field, I no longer have the option to sort the layout.

This leads to the wrong horizontal layout being on top.

Any suggestions? 

Edit: Btw, a join does not work because there could be either the left or the right or both layouts present

Are you able to post some examples of your "before" data, and what you're looking to achieve?
