Send render file from email tool

Hi All,

Beginner here... Does anyone know how to send a pdf report via the email tool? This is how it looks like right now in the workflow, but it would be great if its possible to send the exact pdf file from the render tool to the recipient. I understand that people in the community save the file via an output tool to bypass this however there is no pdf option here. Is there a way around this? 

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi @minty 

If you build the output path in a formula tool, you can pass this to the render tool and tell it to Render to this path

You can then tell the email tool to take the attachment from the same field

Thank you for your response. How would you recommend getting the file path? I tried using a few of the functions like FileGetDir(Path) but I keep getting errors so I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

@minty use a Formula tool to build your own output path, like this:
