Salesforce Input V4.0.0 - alteryx 2018.3 and 2018.4 - Installed not able to see in Tools

Hi ,

 Installed https://gallery.alteryx.com/#!app/Salesforce-Input-Tool/59b84ccbeffc2a09d4057c43 -

 Click Run

 Got YXI

 open Alteryx in Admin - open yxi - installation sucess - close Alteryx

 Open Alteryx - admin / non-admin mode - cannot able to find Salesforce Input in Connector or any other tab

 Verfied - C:\ProgramData\Alteryx\Tools\SalesforceInput_v4.0.0 - files available but not yxmc

Installed in 2018.3 and 2018.4

Deprected version works  - to verify thats not the issue Removed the depreceated Salesforce - no luck

Does the python macro behave differently then the plain HTML or i am missing steps

Hi @sathiya,

Can you try renaming and moving the sales force tool folder(s) in ProgramData%\Alteryx\Tools ?  Then, close Alteryx and launch it running as administrator (right click it from the windows start menu).  While Alteryx is running as admin go to file> open to open the salesforce installer.  Try installing the tool for all users. 

Do you see the same issue after those steps?

 I followed the approach before , deleting from C:\Program Files\Alteryx\bin\HtmlPlugins  as the Salesforce older version are installed with alteryx not as a sperate macro as V4.0 .

Solution - Provided by Alteryx to Rename or Delete Salesforce folder in %ProgramData%\Alteryx\Tools or in %AppData%\Alteryx\Tools

For my use case the folder was in %AppData%\AppData\Roaming\Alteryx\  - 

After Deleting

Open alteryx in admin mode 

Resintall the yxi - Salesforce input shown in connector
