Anytime I use an ODBC connection (Sql Server Native Client 11.0 driver), I get responses from my DBAs saying that I have new "sleeping" connections to the database that locks others from getting to the data. I have used Alteryx at a previous company before and have never come across this issue. The temporary solution is to add ";pooling=false" to my Input Data tool for every SQL data source which is very tedious, but I can't find anywhere in the ODBC Administration tool that allows me to turn off the pooling permanently at the driver level or at the ODBC DNS Connection level.
