Run one tool container or a different one, based on a user input condition

Hi,

I am trying to run worflow A, workflow B or both based on a user input condition. please see ilustrative example below:

My issue is that the input files also have user inputs for selecting the files needed to be read. So even if I select only one tool container, the other one prompts me with an error saying that I didn't select a file for the second input. How can I go around to solve this?

Thanks!

In the file browse tool you can state that the input can be optional, which would negate this issue.

I would consider using radio buttons or check boxes which allow for interface tools to collapse if in the same group, such as a file browse so the user doesn't think they need to fill both in.

I'm mobile atm so can't post an example but hopefully this will provide you with some direction!

Also, if your containers are collapsing correctly you won't get an error at all on the input, whether a file is selected or not, because this will completely disable the object.

You may get an error with the union though.
