Rolling Average Based on Dates

Hi,

In the attached, how do I get Alteryx to replicate the calculations in columns E and F?

I want a 12 day rolling average based on the date in column A for both actual and contracted hours.

In the future, I need to do the same for an 84 day average so please bear that in mind :-)

Thanks a lot in advance,

Scott

@slinky123 ,

Have you found the CReW macros (Download Here) available from http://www.chaosreignswithin.com/p/macros.html.

There's a moving Summarize that should help you.

Cheers,

Mark

Check out the Moving Summarize tool in the CReW Macros: http://www.chaosreignswithin.com/p/macros.html

Select the Actual Hours field, use the Average summarize method, make Rows back = 11 and Rows forward = 0. Add the tool again for the Contracted Hours.

Someone may have another method but this is a really simple approach!

Thanks so much for coming back to me. How would I incorporate the payroll no (as there are going to be thousands of them, all with different hours) in this case?

Managed to sort this in the end. Thanks for your help!

Hi

I tried the below logic for the given data and it works. I see some dates were missing in between and the average is still calcuated for the given dates , and not the actual calendar date.
