Reporting Outputs

Starting out on my Alteryx journey so sorry for the basic element of this question as I am drowning a little in all the potential video's I could watch and wondered if someone might be able to target my focus. In essence I have built a workflow for month end reporting and from this I want to build a number of simple excel outputs to go to different customer, as such I wanted to know the best approach from the single source to select required fields, potentially change them and then output via excel?

Assuming the format is the same for all the customers, you could use the reporting tools to layout the format in which you want your report to be and then render the output to a specific excel file or a group of excel files which can be a batched by selecting the "Field To Group On" in the Render tool. In your case it might be the Customer ID, Email or Name. You could also build an email module to send your outputs directly via email without any intervention.

Thanks for responding, are you aware of any training videos/resources that might provide a good grounding?

If you have not already gone through the interactive training sessions on Reporting here is the link. These could set a good foundation on the primer concepts that goes into creating a report using the reporting tools in Alteryx

Alternatively if you want to specifically learn on rendering a report you could directly jump to the below link

You could also refer to the Tool Mastery Series

Or you could just Open your Designer -- Help -- Sample Workflows --- Learn One Tool At A Time -- Reporting --- pop up any tools associated workflow and you could see what is happening and what the tool is capable of.
