Rendering Euro Currency in an excel file

StephenF

I'm using a prefix of € in the table tool on a number.

So when I have €39.15 this renders fine in a PDF

When I render this into an xlsx file

It appears as the following when i open the file

¬39.15

?

Hello @StephenF

Can you please provide your workflow and some sample data so the Community can see how your data is configured?

This could be an excel driver issue with excel which we have no control over.
We are currently working on our reporting tools with excel, but the error you are encountering may not be resolved at this time.

Thanks,

Hi TrevorS,

See attached. After running this,  Euro symbols appear as angle brackets ie ¬

Hi @StephenF  !

Thank you for the sample workflow, I was able to reproduce this issue.

However, looking at the specs for the Render Tool, I can see it will only support (.xslx) files.

I tried with this type on the render tool and was able to display the euro symbol.

Ok, to clarify, changing the .xls to .xlsx fixes this issue in the render tool.

There isn't an xlsx option in the drop down,  just "excel 97"(which does not render correctly) so this is a workaround.

Thanks,

Stephen
