Question about Join tool

Hi there

I am fairly familiar with the way the join tool works, as described by the Venn diagrams shown by the tool.

However, is there a tool that will let me join two inputs irrespective of whether data matches or not? Basically don't want the data to be split the way they are in the diagrams

Basically I just want two inputs to appear on the same page together, some of the columns will be longer than others

Hi,

You want the inputs to be side by side or one after another?

If you want them joined next to each other you can use join tool but use the record position. Please see screen below.

There is also an append field but it will create all possible combinations.

I would just like them to be side by side.

Also, like in your example, I would need the second row with the "1,2, 3,4" to appear in the final sheet too
