Publish to tableau server Ask Data not working properly

I don't know yet if this is a Alteryx or a Tableau problem.

I am using Alteryx to publish data straight to our Tableau server for dashboarding using the tool downloaded from here: https://gallery.alteryx.com/#!app/Publish-to-Tableau-Server-Tool/599c93c8f499c7141c13a619

This does continue to work well with the dashboards, however in the latest tableau server releases (2019.1<) there is an "Ask Data" feature for the data sources. When the data is published from an Alteryx workflow this feature doesn't work properly. It will only show "sum of Number of Records" instead of the full range of fields.

I have attached some screen shots.

Has any one seen this before? is this an Alteryx or a Tableau issue?
