Publish to Tableau macro file allocation error

Has anyone else seen something like this

Error - ToolId 6: Tool #592: Error creating the file "C:\ProgramData\Alteryx\Engine\Engine_8384_2c06d9db777a4b948ad0a53442e8b519_\Engine_8384_3c3f18d614f24efe9b549d63572b06a5_.tmp": The system cannot find the path specified.

when using the Publish to Tableau macro?

If so, how did you fix it?

Hi,

As the error says, it cant find the temporary directory - can you check whether it exists on the server? Could you perhaps send the whole log?

I believe we narrowed this issue down to a Windows OS issue with paged/non-paged memory pool management most likely caused by another program running on the server not properly releasing resources. The (theoretically) offending program was removed and we haven't seen this error again after rebooting the machine ~10 days ago.
