Does anyone have a full list of which tools are record agnostic ie which tools execute whether or not a record is present... This is a useful list to have because they negate the purpose of a filter or detour and just kind of do their own thing whether or not they are needed to... (note - R Tool -depending upon the code and what it takes from the datastream - and some of the render tools can create nasty errors when there are no records and they still run)

Two quick examples of these tools would be the R Tool or the Field Summary. Try hooking up the R Tool with a filter tool with no records - it runs just the same as though there are records in the workflow... This can create errors but it's also kind of cool. Field Info is kind of fun since it can be used even where are no records... Anyway - here's a screenshot for folks who are curious...

I leverage the count records tool quite frequently for building error handling into workflows. That is definitely my go-to!
