Hi everyone and anyone!
I have data that looks similar to what I have created below:
Partner | amount | campaign |
RS | 7.26 | abc - def- ghi |
Spot | 22.88 | def - ghi |
U2 | 9.72 | xyz - uvw - srt - opq |
What I want is to maintain the data, but create rows based on splitting the campaign. So it would look like:
Partner | amount | campaign |
RS | 7.26 | abc |
RS | 7.26 | def |
RS | 7.26 | ghi |
Spot | 22.88 | def |
Spot | 22.88 | ghi |
U2 | 9.72 | xyz |
U2 | 9.72 | uvw |
U2 | 9.72 | srt |
U2 | 9.72 | opq |
My thought process would be two parse the campaign into separate columns and then gather/melt those columns. But, I am neither sure that this would be the best way nor do I know how to go about this in Alteryx.
Appreciate any ideas!

Hi @Lakshmi3,
You can solve that by using a text to columns tool and a formula to trim left spaces.
Example attached.
Let me know if this works for you.

Thank you so much, Fernando! That was too easy!
