Hello,
I am new to Alteryx (learning it as part of a class) and I was wondering if there is other platforms that are typically used in sync with Alteryx to further enhance its capabilities? For example, could it perhaps be paired with Tableu to further develop the visualization part of any given project?
Thank you!
Hi @JuanGaspar
Tableau is probably the most common viz platform that's used to display data that's been massaged by Alteryx. You can easily push data to Tableau with the included Publish to Tableau Server tool. It's not the only compatible platform, though. You can pair Alteryx with any display platform that you can get the data into. For example, we have a very specific case where we've had to use SQL Server Reporting Services to create and display the graphs. In this case, the Alteryx workflow writes to SQL tables that are then read by SSRS to produce the output.

hi @JuanGaspar
Further to @danilang point, actually most viz software handles Excel / CVS "flat files" really well.
A commonly encountered use case is to blend data into flat files and then downstream process with any viz software such as PBI, Tableau, TIBCO spotfire etc...
Dawn.
