Hi,

Im trying to get the PDF Input tool working on my machine (not even thought how I do this on the server!) - I've installed the tool but get an error saying PDF Tools is not installed.  I then found a youtube guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aM9YqC1Uuo  That talked me through the process - I got the R Tools installed, it then said to download an analytic app from the gallery, Install R Packages and install the PDFTools, this is where it all goes wrong!  I get the attatched error when doing this:

Hi @craigja ,

Could you please check under this path : C:\Program Files\Alteryx\R-3.5.3\library

If you have there the pdftools library already installed?

If that is not the case, you can download the library file and paste it directly within that same path

From here you can download the the package

https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/pdftools/index.html

Best,

Vianney

Thanks, getting somewhere now - I think the original problem was permissions related, I had to get the helpdesk to copy the file to the directory.  I now get a version problem: Error: PDF Input (1): BatchPDFInput (26): Record #1: Tool #2: Error in loadNamespace(j <- i[[1L]], c(lib.loc, .libPaths()), versionCheck = vI[[j]]) :

I assume I have an incorrect version of the R tools?  But dont know how to check or anything...

Hi @craigja,

could you please show a screenshot of your error?

I have the feeling that you didn't paste the complete error.

Could you add the information after: versionCheck = vI[[j]]) :

Thank you

Vianney

Hi. I am having this same issue. I just had Alteryx 2019.2 completely uninstalled on my system, and had Alteryx Designer 2019.2 and the matching R-package reinstalled. I keep getting the same errors.

Error: PDF Input (263): BatchPDFInput (26): Record #1: Tool #2: Error in loadNamespace(j <- i[[1L]], c(lib.loc, .libPaths()), versionCheck = vI[[j]]) :

Error: PDF Input (263): BatchPDFInput (26): Record #1: Tool #2: Execution halted
Error: PDF Input (263): BatchPDFInput (26): Record #1: Tool #2: The R.exe exit code (1) indicated an error.

Thank you for any assistance that you can provide.
